thank you for your support!

Thank you to all who came out to mix & mats in support of Community Farmers Markets! Over 170 of you did yoga, drank beer with us and raised money for CFM. Our “little” event was sold out and we can’t wait to do it again!

Until next time,

cocktails for community: an evening benefiting cfm's double snap program

Cocktails, canapes and community. What could be better? Answer: it all benefitting CFM’s Double SNAP, education and outreach efforts. Hosted by Rebecca and Ross Williams of Many Fold Farm and Joe Reynolds and Judith Winfrey of Love is Love Farm, Cocktails for Community is an evening jampacked with a few of our favorite things, and it all happens this Saturday, August 22nd. First, seven of Atlanta’s best bartenders, including Kellie Thorn of Empire State South and Kimball House’s Miles Macquarrie, will be slinging craft cocktails featuring innovative seasonal flavors. But what would a cocktail party be without hors d'oeuvres? That, of course, is where Atlanta chefs like Eat Me Speak Me’s Jarrett Stieber and Allen Suh, formerly of Gato Arigato and Jook #0 come in. Cheese selections and pairings will also be available from Many Fold Farm and Preserving Place.

The best part of the evening, though, is what it’s all for—our community. CFM’s Double SNAP program doubles the value of SNAP dollars at our farmers markets, making healthy food much more accessible to those who need it. Check out the complete listing of participating bartenders below, and we hope to see you at Gaia Gardens this Saturday from 5pm to 8pm. Tickets are available here.

wonder city, wonderfarm

Prepare to engage all five senses this coming Saturday at the first-ever Wonderfarm. A celebration of our unique community, Wonderfarm will combine farm food and local art to benefit two special Atlanta nonprofits – Community Farmers Markets and WonderRoot. The evening will include a seated dinner curated by Miller Union chef Steven Satterfield and feature more than 10 of Atlanta's most crave-worthy chefs. Interactive performances, demonstrations and installations organized by WonderRoot will also be in progress.

It is Community Farmers Markets’ mission to develop and strengthen farmers markets for long term sustainability and meaningful community impact. WonderRoot also believes in inspiring positive social change through uniting artists and community.

In addition to a delicious dinner and equally enticing art, Wonderfarm will include a cocktail reception and silent auction from your favorite local businesses. And did we mention that this is the first time that the new Krog Street Market opens its doors to the public?

Head over here for ticket information and how to get involved. This is an Atlanta evening not to miss.
